Josie's personality gets
bigger and bigger, and she's one busy, busy bee! We had a great visit to Boston
to visit Super Grammie, Auntie Karen, Uncle Joe, and Cousin JoAnn (Big Josie!).
Josie was so excited to share her birthday photo with Super Grammie.
Check them out: 9 months and 99 years! Wow, just wow! May we all be
so lucky to collect our second 9...and with such style! Here are some pics from
our trip:
We need to work on getting a clear one of Auntie Karen next trip! She's always
so busy taking care of us, and we love her for it.
We stopped to take our annual sunnies family photo on the way to Boston. My how things have changed! Oh, and I've decided we finally have a "thing": #Youngfamilysunnies - check it out!
Josie's 9 Month Stats: size 4
diapers, size 12-18 months in clothing and can fit into some 2Ts, 24 pounds, 2
teeth, 29 inches in length
Josie's New Foods: quinoa, kale, purple carrots
Let's back up a bit: This
month started off with an awesome visit from Uncle Paul and Aunt Crystal.
We had such a great time
with them! We:
Explored the cherry blossoms at Brooklyn Botanic Garden
Checked out really amazing art at The Met
Visited the World Trade Memorial
And even went to our first baseball game!!
This child has seen so much already and we just love taking her on all of our adventures. She's almost always perfectly behaved. Almost. Okay, maybe she cleared out a room at The Met. We might play this clip at her wedding.
Here are some of her latest feats:
- She can cheers! If you present your glass while she is holding her bottle, she will extend her bottle, tap it against yours, giggle, and then go back to drinking. This is obviously a critical skill to master. (See 8 month post re: champagne)
- She is walking more and
more. Crawling is so not her style. And let me tell you: You have
never seen someone more proud of themselves. She flashes a megawatt grin
as she gracefully thuds her way through our apartment.
- She can hold her own sippy
cup! Woah!
- She's officially throwing
fits. This is slightly funny, but we try hard not to laugh when she
gets so mad because we take something away. Mostly it's when she's
summoned Siri for the millionth time and then decides she should eat Siri.
- She's mastered the pincher
grip, and expertly plucks the teeniest crumbs from the carpet.
Interestingly, she only wants to bang, bang, bang on her brand new
activity table from Gammy.
Finally, we celebrated our first
Mother's Day, brought to you by Funfetti cake, family, flowers, and first
words! I have confirmation that this little child looked up at me and said
"Mama" with outstretched arms. She may have also said it to her
activity table and her father, but she's only mastered so many sounds. I'll
take it! Overall, it was the best day ever!! I am the luckiest to be surrounded
by such amazing people. We are the luckiest.
Until next time...
Love,
J Cubed
